Riversdale, Bourne End, Bucks

A substantial residential extension and refurbishment of this beautiful historic Arts and Crafts House situated in a small village in Buckinghamshire. The project also included associated external works which covered the outside swimming pool and terrace area.

This three storey house has a prime location on the banks of the River Thames, it has on occasion been used for the annual Swan Upping event, which has included a Royal visit by HRH Princess Anne.

The Architects, Vivid Architects have included some fantastic, contemporary design elements such as the glass extension and south facing terracing which not only maximises the magnificent views but is sympathetic with the existing structure of this historic timbered building.

The clients have fully participated in the design elements of this project and have added their own artistic flair to the final outcome with hand-crafted stained glass features and some wonderful bespoke oak joinery throughout the property by a local craftsperson.
The property has been adapted to ensure it is now fully wheelchair accessible and includes lift access to all floors.
